Dear friend,
MY Project STAMPede! aims to promote recycling by using used postage stamps as fund raising decorative tokens. Instead of printing new stickers as “flags”, we will recycle used postage stamps! In order for the project to succeed, we earnestly seek your help.
What you can do is to gather as many used postage stamps as possible (you may cut them out, or leave them stuck on the envelope), or go through your (no longer wanted) stamp collections. Drop these off or send them to Metropolitan YMCA, 60 Stevens Road, Singapore 257854 by 31 March 2008, addressed to Alice Wong (Public Affairs/ Membership) / Tracey Tham (Programmes), or call us at 68398355 to arrange for bulk collection. We hope to collect at least 400,000 stamps!
In this age of high tech communication, this effort may also help us uncover interesting facts about philately – how the humble postage stamp can chronicle significant events, history, heritage and cultures!
Please rally your friends, colleagues and family members to participate by contributing used postage stamps. Join us on this simple but meaningful journey to recycle and reuse.
Simply fill up the form below to indicate your participation and support for this event.
We look forward to a successful STAMPede!
