Yee Kwan from Corporate Services shares his reflections and journey since joining the M.Y family.
“I am a young man, fresh from my job in another association, and educated in Christian schools in between. If that does not spell out the MYMCA, I don’t know what does.”
Those were the words I said during my interview over a year ago. The rest as they say, is history.
One year has passed and so many things have happened: two annual reports, four major events and one conference. When I sit and reflect over the past 11 months or so, I could not help but feel both overwhelmed and moved.
But I thought more about the friends I made along the way, and the things I learnt from them – from technical to soft skills, and even guidance on life that I would have received.
These are the relationships I treasure, as they are hard to come by anywhere else, and I would like to thank everyone who has shown me guidance, patience and support through my first foray into the workforce.
One year has passed for me in the Y, and I eagerly look forward to the incoming new challenges, to take them head-on.
