CHRISTMAS AT THE Y 2021

Season Greetings from Metropolitan YMCA Singapore!

With each passing moment, we adjust our lives from a COVID-19 pandemic to endemic in each and every way possible. For a certain segment across this nation, behind each closed door and window, there might reside someone who might be at risk of going hungry, depressed and forgotten. As the year draws to a close, let us remember the underprivileged around us, all whom also deserve a Christmas.

Metropolitan YMCA’s signature outreach programme - M.Y Manna, has been providing food, provisions and socio-emotional support to more than 800 low income family members for the past 24 years. Many of these families are in dire state with their sole breadwinners who are unemployed or incarcerated. Many are stricken with severe health issues which render them incapacitated. Each year, we need more than S$300,000 to provide for their basic needs, ensuring that they deserve dignified lives, just as you and I. 

As we approach this joyous time of Christmas, we invite you to come forward to support individuals and families in need. Donations will allow us to cover their basic needs for daily living. At the same time, we would like to spread the joy of giving with tokens of appreciation through Christmas at the Y.

Every donation of $60 will receive our annual signature Christmas Fruit Cake (baked with love in collaboration with Allspice Institute). Every donation of $1,000 will receive a warm Christmas Meal (specially curated by MYMCA’s restaurant).

All donations above $50 will receive 250% tax exemption (excluding cost of delivery). At the same time, this campaign will receive a dollar-for-dollar matching under Toteboard Enhanced Fundraising Grant. Double blessings!

As you donate for a good cause, you can also choose to bless your staff, colleagues, business partners, family and friends with these tokens of appreciation at the same time.
